Caffeine Limited is a small business specialising in the sale, service and maintenance of Schaerer, Victoria Arduino, Simonelli, Conti, and Gaggia commercial coffee machines and coffee consumables. We are looking for an experienced and passionate Field Service Engineer to carry out this high-level role.
Caffeine is about to undergo a period of significant growth and the role will develop with the company during this period of rapid expansion – it is therefore important that the ideal candidate has strong ‘hands on’ technical and interpersonal skills. This position would suit someone who is keen to help and support a developing Service Department.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Assess and repair machines as required
- Diagnose problems and repair machines to ensure an acceptable level of future breakdown and identify potential problem areas
- Maintain a full understanding of company products/machines
- Complete paperwork and logging of calls via the remote “real – time” system as required
- Ensure parts are ordered and fitted as necessary
- Ensure all in-warranty parts are processed/returned in a timely manner
- Deliver outstanding service to all Caffeine clients in keeping with our ethics, values and brand
- Look for ways of improving efficiency and reducing costs
- Answer customer enquiries in a polite and friendly manner
- Identify opportunities for further sales within Caffeine’s existing clients and pass on potential leads for new clients
- Work closely with the Service/Technical Manager to continually evolve and develop the business
- Bring to the attention of your line manager any issues or problems that may affect your work/working environment
- Health and safety policy and standards are adhered to
Person Specification:
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a field-based coffee Engineer’s Role
- Experience of fixing a wide range of commercial coffee machines – including traditional espresso (Conti/Gaggia/Victoria Arduino/Simonelli), coffee brewers, hot water boilers (Bunn), bean to cup (Schaerer) machines and coffee grinders
Knowledge
- A genuine passion and interest for coffee and coffee equipment
Skills and Ability
- Working well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise and
- manage the needs of customers.
- Ability to perform regular boiler inspections and water filter changes
- A professional approach with good communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Confident IT and computer skills
- A full UK driving license
- Proof of the right to work in the UK
